Brakes

The first day I didn't have any problems, the second day it wouldn?t come up easy, the third day it wouldn?t come up at all, so I bought new brakes and I changed the old ones. I used it for another day, today (the next day) it doesn't get up again. What should I do? Are the Brakes the actual problem? How can they last longer?
