different people wear out friction stickers at different rates. there's no perscribed length of time for them to last.

if you are having trouble, i would suggest moving to the thinner spacers that were included with your FHZ. you can also add a little bit of lube to the bearing to add a little friction. the only problem with that is it often compromises spin time.
