Duncan in Iraq!
Wednesday, June 10, 2009
Through the years many members of our Armed Forces have found a great deal of comfort and recreation from the play of the Duncan yo-yo. We are also seeing significant numbers of converts to Duncan yo-yos in the Iraqi youth. Connections of trust and mutual amusement are being made daily through the play of The Original. Worlds #1. Duncan yo-yos.I am currently deployed to Iraq and a few times a week our PSD goes out in the city to transport our General around. While we wait in the city, near our vehicles, our 12 man PSD passes the time by playing with your wonderful yo-yos, and teaching the Iraqi kids all the tricks they can do with your yo-yos.

I am currently serving in Kirkuk, Iraq with the C Company 51st Expeditionary Signal Battalion. You have just made a bunch of solders excited about something we previously took for granted. It is a real lesson on how much even the little things matter out here. We greatly appreciate your support.

I am a SGT in the United States Army currently deployed to Iraq. Our unit has been here for about 5 months now and the moral isn?t as high as it should be. One of the main reasons the Avenger yo-yos you sent were such a hit is because so many soldiers still enjoy the yo-yo as adults just as they did when they were children. Thank you very much.

I would like to thank you not only for the package I received from OPERATION GRATITUDE, but also for all you do for each one of the dedicated men and women who serve our great Nation. I am truly humbled by the support you, your volunteers, and your generous sponsors have shown those who sacrifice so much for our country.

"Thank you and everyone at Operation Gratitude. I am so thankful for the package I received. I am in Afghanistan and my platoon is living in a rock house with mud. We don't have running water but we finally got a generator. Our roof leaks in the rains and the bugs are very bad. Mosquitoes are everywhere and the fleas and ticks are always on us. We get to shower and do laundry once every month and a half. But morale is high when we receive mail and we are always happy to see so many people care about us even people we have never met before. I hope everyone knows that we are very thankful and please keep us in your prayers. Thanks again with all my heart.
A very thankful soldier, SPC P.R
