We’re here at the 2013 World Yo-Yo Contest in Orlando, Florida! The world’s best yo-yo players and competitors are arriving and the competition begins in less than 24 hours!
Hey folks! It’s Dano the Mano and as the month of July comes to an end I wanted to give an update on the “Ride for Ci” charity efforts through the sales of the Duncan Ignite yo-yo’s. So far almost 800 yo- yo’s have been sold through out the summer during my travels to different events. Support for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has been unreal! My original goal was to raise $5000 selling 1000 “Ride for Ci” yo-yo’s by September 1st. I’m proud to say as of July 22, $6250 had already been donated. Between the yo-yo sales, and some large donations from a handful of supporters it’s hard to say how much we will raise in the end, but I’m predicting close to at least $9000!
We still have one month and two more stops on the King of Wake series, including the Wakeboard Worlds in Kenosha, Wisconsin. On August 17-18 Duncan Crew members will be on site in Wisconsin demonstrating and selling yo-yo’s to help support the effort.
Free tickets will be available for all yo-yo enthusiasts just email Brandon Jackson.
If you can’t make it to the Wakeboard Worlds, yo-yo’s are still available through www.perfski.com
From our amazing friend Danny Amir: “This summer with some amazing people I have been helping raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation through the “Ride for Ci” charity efforts started by Nicola Butler. Proud to say today we hit our initial goal of $5000!!! There are still more then 200 yo-yo’s left and much more money to be raised!”
